Medication
There are 2 main types of rheumatoid arthritis medications, anti-inflammatories & Disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs). Anti-inflammatory medications are needed to help control symptoms but won’t necessarily prevent damage to joints. DMARDs work to help calm a disordered immune system and when we find the right one for you, we can reduce both the symptoms and the risk of long-term damage. There are many options of DMARDs, ranging from conventional DMARDs to the Biologics to Targeted Synthetic DMARDs.
