About Dr Herman Lau

Herman is a Consultant Physician and Rheumatologist who has a wide range of experience in various inflammatory disorders and musculoskeletal conditions. His special interest is crystal arthropathies.

He is actively involved in community education and has given various community seminars and radio interviews. He was a conjoint lecturer at the University of Sydney and he continues to educate medical students in his private practice. He is one of the very few Cantonese and Mandarin speaking rheumatologists in NSW.

Herman is a current member of the Australian Medical Association, Australian Association of Consultant Physicians and Australian Rheumatology Association.

Herman has a unique approach to patient care. He places great emphasis on patient education in the management of chronic disease and is well known for his perseverance in motivating patients to take up physical therapy and be proactive in managing their conditions.
