Control Starts Here: Understanding Your Pelvic Floor and Bladder

How can this event help me?

Many women experience changes in their bladder or pelvic floor over the course of their lives, yet it's not always clear what's considered normal and what can be improved. Understanding how the pelvic floor works can make a meaningful difference in improving bladder control, confidence, and long-term wellbeing.

In this live online session, Physiotherapist Esha Shetty will explain the important role the pelvic floor plays in bladder health and explore some of the common reasons bladder symptoms occur. She'll also share practical, evidence-based strategies to help you improve pelvic floor function and take greater control of your bladder health. Whether you're experiencing bladder or pelvic floor concerns yourself, supporting a loved one, or simply wanting to better understand women's pelvic health, this session will provide practical insights you can apply in everyday life.

Join Esha for an engaging conversation covering the following:

Understanding your pelvic floor: Learn what the pelvic floor muscles do, how they support bladder control, and why they play such an important role in everyday function.

Why bladder symptoms happen: Explore some of the common reasons people experience urgency, frequency, or bladder leakage, and why these symptoms are often treatable.

Building a stronger pelvic floor: Discover practical exercises and strategies to improve pelvic floor muscle function, support bladder control, and build confidence in daily life.

Healthy bladder habits: Learn simple lifestyle and behavioural strategies that can help reduce bladder irritation, improve bladder function, and support long-term pelvic health.

Taking control with confidence: Understand how small, consistent changes can improve bladder control, reduce symptoms, and help you return to the activities you enjoy with greater confidence.

This session offers practical, evidence-based guidance for anyone wanting to better understand their pelvic floor and bladder health while learning simple strategies to improve confidence and long-term wellbeing. Mark your calendar for Wednesday, August 19th, and join us for this informative virtual gathering. We encourage your questions and active participation to make this a truly collaborative learning experience for everyone involved.
