How to Progress Your Exercise Program Without Overdoing It

How can this event help me?

Building strength, fitness, and confidence over time comes from gradually challenging your body in the right ways. Progressing your exercise routine helps support joint health, maintain independence, and ensure you continue moving toward your long-term goals. Even small, consistent changes can make a meaningful difference to how strong and capable you feel day to day.

In this live online event, Exercise Physiologists Sarah Comensoli and Robyn Yin will share practical strategies to help you move your program forward with safety and confidence. This session is ideal for anyone wanting clearer guidance on how to advance their routine, whether you’re working on strength, mobility, stamina, or simply looking to keep building on what you can already do.

Join Sarah and Robyn for a practical discussion where they’ll cover:

  • Understanding Progression: Why regularly updating your program matters for building strength, fitness, and long-term physical independence.
  • Progressive Overload: How to gradually increase load, volume, or intensity in a way that supports steady improvement and continued results.
  • Reading Your Body: Cues that help you know when you’re ready to progress and how to adjust your routine with clarity and confidence.
  • Balancing Training and Recovery: How planning your week, spreading out workloads, and allowing recovery can enhance your strength and stamina.
  • Tailoring Your Routine for Chronic Conditions: Approaches that support progress on both good and challenging days while keeping your goals in sight.
  • Practical Planning Tips: How to set achievable goals, choose exercises that match your needs, and build a routine that continues to grow with you.

Join us on Wednesday, February 4th at 8:00 PM AEDT for this informative live virtual event. As always, we welcome your questions and discussions to make this an engaging and supportive experience for everyone.
