About  Dr Hugh Caterson

Hugh Caterson is a Sydney-based rheumatologist and clinical immunologist. He sees patients for the diagnosis and treatment of all forms of arthritis and rheumatic disease. He has specialist expertise in complex autoimmune conditions and autoinflammatory diseases. Hugh’s approach to patient care is centred on patient education, shared decision making, and multidisciplinary input with allied health professionals.

 

Hugh completed his medical training at the University of Sydney where he also obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in the dual specialties of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology and Allergy. He has undertaken specialist training in the field of autoinflammatory diseases at the Royal Free Hospital in London, UK. He works as a staff specialist rheumatologist at Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick.
