Osteoporosis Management

How can this event help me?

Osteoporosis management is most effective when all parts of care work together, from the right medication to meaningful lifestyle changes that support long-term bone strength. Following the strong interest in Dr Dahlia Davidoff’s earlier session on osteoporosis medications, this follow-up event takes a broader and more practical look at day-to-day management. We’ll briefly revisit key treatments for context, but because this session builds on concepts from the first presentation, it’s encouraged to watch Part 1 beforehand to get the most out of the discussion.

In this session, Endocrinologist Dr Dahlia Davidoff will cover:

  • A brief review of osteoporosis medications: A quick recap of the key points from the prior medications session, including how the main treatment options work, their role in protecting bone strength, and where they may fit within an overall management plan.
  • Exercise recommendations for stronger bones: Evidence-based guidance on weight-bearing exercise, resistance training, and balance work, with simple starting points to help you confidently incorporate movement into your routine.
  • Dietary foundations for bone health: Practical nutrition advice covering calcium, vitamin D, protein, and other key nutrients that support bone strength, with easy, realistic ideas for everyday eating.
  • Real case studies: Examples from clinical practice showing how medication, diet, and movement come together in real-world decision-making.
  • Monitoring and long-term planning: What to expect over time, including bone density scans, blood tests, follow-up reviews, and how treatment plans may evolve with your needs.

This session is designed for anyone wanting a more complete, practical understanding of osteoporosis care. Join us on Wednesday, March 18th at 8:00 PM AEDT for this live virtual event. As always, we welcome your questions and discussions to make this an engaging and supportive experience for everyone.
