Endocrinology

An endocrinologist is a specialist physician who has expertise in the treament of disorders of hormone-producing glands and the hormones they produce.

These diseases include;

  • diabetes
  • thyroid disorders
  • adrenal gland disorders
  • parathyroid gland disorders
  • reproductive problems (infertility and impotence)
  • pituitary gland disorders

Endocrinologists also treat disorders of metabolism including polycystic ovarian syndrome, obesity and osteoporosis.
