Elaine grew up in Singapore and graduated from The University of Sydney in 2008. Prior to starting at BJC Health, she worked in the public hospital system rotating through a range of disciplines such as rehabilitation, orthopaedics, musculoskeletal outpatients and the medical assessment unit.
Elaine has also participated in research focused on enhancing therapy for specific patient groups. She has a special interest in sports physiotherapy having worked the sidelines for junior rugby union at St. Ignatius College, Riverview over the past 3 seasons.
Elaine had competed in judo and various track and field events at a representative level. Being a sports enthusiast, she enjoys other sports including canoeing, wakeboarding and long distance running. As such, this lays a foundation for her role as a physiotherapist giving her a good understanding of the physical and psychological demands placed on athletes when it comes to treating sports injuries.
